Essential Functions - note that all are equally important:
First and foremost - YOU are a Safety Person. You not only have the responsibility, you have the authority to stop a job, procedure or person to correct a safety concern.
Other essential functions of this job are:
Complete all start-of-day and end-of-day tasks assigned for co-worker safety, and preparation and care of equipment and vehicles. Examples: PPE reminders, vehicle fluids, tire safety, tool inspections.
Review and understand daily work plan, goals and requirements by active participation in pre-task and post-task team meetings, including reviews of safe work practices, work orders, job prints and job notes.
Complete assigned physical labor tasks involving manual work and operation of hand and power tools, moving materials, with good housekeeping to all job sites, vehicles and equipment.
Other Duties - In addition to these, please note that additional duties, functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors, at any time, as deemed appropriate.
All labor duties assigned to assist, enable and otherwise help complete job requirements, including, for example, assisting equipment operators and/or the foreman with loading, unloading or positioning equipment, shoring or bracing, placing underground utilities, or placing or removing asphalt or concrete.
Lifting, carrying and holding materials, supplies, tools and equipment.
Hand digging and assisting with excavation, filling, backfilling and cleaning and preparing sites, including clean-up and debris removal.
